I recently passed the Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals (AI-900) exam, and I want to share my experience for anyone who might be planning to take it. Hopefully, this helps you prepare with confidence.

Exam Details

Total Score: 1000 points

Passing Score: 700/1000

Format: Multiple-choice questions, True/false etc.

Difficulty: I personally found it fairly easy with the right preparation

Preparation Resources I Used

  • Microsoft LearnOfficial Learning Path

I went through the official Microsoft Learn AI-900 learning path

(about 9.5 hours). It’s free and very well structured.

  • Practice Tests

I used practice questions to check my understanding. These were helpful in getting familiar with the exam format.

  • Sandbox

Trying out Azure’s sandbox environment gave me a better feel for the services, even though the exam itself doesn’t test hands-on labs.

  • John Savill’s YouTube Revision Videos

John has two great revision videos on YouTube. These were excellent for quick recap before the exam.

  • Udemy Practice Questions

I also used a Udemy practice test course. The question bank was decent, and it helped me reinforce concepts.

Preparation Timeline

I studied for about a week. Even if you’re new to Azure, this exam is manageable with focused preparation.

Final Thoughts

The AI-900 exam is a great entry point into the world of Azure AI services. With the resources above, you should feel confident going into the test. My main advice:

  • Stick to the Microsoft Learn path as your foundation

  • Use practice tests to strengthen your weak areas

  • Do a quick video revision before exam day

If I can pass it, you absolutely can too. Best of luck!
